business
The business side of Conservation Through Art Australia.
Conservation Through Art is not a ‘traditional’ business as such. It is more of a ‘grass-roots’, small scale and independent creative initiative where the primary objective is to increase the level of donation support to a leading and reputable conservation group. For legal reasons, that conservation group cannot be named specifically until a point in time after which a purchase from me has been finalised.
An already existing monthly donation of $25.00 AUS per month (which will remain in place regardless) will be supplemented by additional annual donations that will be equivalent to 10% of the profits made from sales of products. For example, a photograph sold for $400 at an exhibition, will add $40 to the supplementary annual donation. Each sale will accumulate more for the annual extra donation. Donations made to Conservation Through Art here on my web site will also add 10% (of the donation) to the annual accumulative/supplementary donation to the conservation organisation. The remainder of any donation will be re-invested into the initiative to cover the cost of photography trips, framing and exhibition costs, web site maintenance and photographic equipment.
All purchases and purchase amounts will be logged and made transparent and publicly accessible here on my web site, using the table log below which formalizes the details of all purchases and the amount donated toward conservation each time. Donations to conservation are applicable regardless of whether the purchase is a Fine Art or Commercial purchase, and regardless of whether that purchase is made by an individual, a business or a corporation. The prices and donation amount is standardised and non-negotiable. Donations made directly to Conservation Through Art Australia (using the donate now button on this site) are also subject to the same 10% allocation toward conservation.

Warranty/refunds/replacement information: Mirage has some information on their web site regarding the quality of their work. However, in the event of a problem I will negotiate (on behalf of the purchaser) with Mirage for a full replacement of the art work. Mirage photographic prints and canvas prints use the highest quality proprietary materials sourced from the best brands in the market. Hence, they are sold as archivally sound.
GST information: Conservation Through Art Australia does not need to charge GST, as earnings as a sole trader are under 75k a year.
Tax invoice information: A tax invoice can be provided for purchases upon request through my email info@conservationthroughartaust.com.au. Tax invoices state clearly what was purchased, the value of the purchase and what proportion of the purchase went to the conservation donation. It must be noted however, that the amount donated to conservation is only relevant to Conservation Through Art Australia for tax return purposes, not the buyer of the art.
Thank-you for your interest and support. It is both needed and appreciated.
